10.10.10 Run for Ilog Pasig

Today, we got to participate in one of the biggest fun runs not only in the Philippines but throughout the world! And it’s all for a cause. To save Ilog Pasig.

Kung dati Piso para sa Pasig, ngayon, more than P100 na. :) Because they’re targeting 101,010 runners, it will sum up to be about P25m in total donations.

H7733 5k (before leaving home at around 3am)

Many roads were already closed due to the assembly of the runners. And since I belong to cluster 14, I needed to ran from ocampo st. to vicente sotto st. Imagine how hard it is since all ways possible are blocked by students, runners and officials.

Finally I found my friends after searching far and wide. Haha!

Here’s PD2A with our Physics lab teacher Ma’am Lozano who is also running for Ilog Pasig :)

Also, we got a chance to have a picture with the CEU Executive Vice President Dr. Ricardo F. De Leon :)

He is so kind that he actually volunteered to take our picture :D

We reached the starting line with 39mins, 26second, 16miniseconds already elapsed. Unfair huh? Actually, though it’s the start, we are still walking. But afterwards, there were clear areas and everybody started running. :D

Roxas Blvd. Everyone still looks pretty good.

Done with 1km, 4 to go! I wonder where my other classmates are xD

Just wonder how we filled up the rest of the roads of the Roxas Blvd.

Now, making a turn to EDSA, no more shade :(

Finally reached 3km, free water from Maynilad, sadly, also free styro cups. Malinis nga Ilog Pasig paligid naman ng MOA madumi :(

I was trying to capture the mess left by the runners. Didn’t notice that I accidentally captured two of my friends xD

Reached it! 6cyclemind performing on stage.With Piolo Pascual’s voice in the background announcing some winners. Also announcing that Manny Pacquiao finished the race.

We actually got the finisher’s band before we actually passed the finish line. There were no directions along MOA and we haven’t seen any 4km or 5km tarp :( So I think we ran more than 5km.

Anyway, It was all worth it, especially after receiving my finisher’s band made from magazine beads :)

On a slightly related note: We left the Starting Line at 6:41 am and reached Moa at about 8 am. Is that fast or not?
